ABOUT
The Florida Grape Growers Association (FGGA) was established in 1923 to serve farmers and hobbyists interested in growing grapes in Florida. Organized as a nonprofit corporation, the FGGA was instrumental in sponsoring research to develop grape varieties adapted to Florida’s conditions.
The association continues to sponsor research, and also works collectively with a variety of entities to develop awareness about Florida wine and the unique qualities and health benefits of Florida grapes. It provides extensive information to those interested in making wine, growing Florida grapes, and producing grape products.
The Florida Wine and Grape Growers Association (re-named in 2015) provides members with access to university research, information on how to make wine and grow grapes, marketing ideas, competition opportunities, and much more. This website provides a means for interaction and resource sharing among members.
